‘Coronalongplein’ for patients after corona
Since the coronavirus outbreak, hundreds of people have contacted Longfonds with various questions and complaints. With the launch of coronalongplein.nl ex-corona patients can now find information about complaints and recovery, share experiences for research and talk to fellow sufferers. The platform was created in collaboration with the Long Alliance Netherlands (LAN) and is a uniquely innovative concept based entirely on patient demand. "Corona takes our breath away," says Michael Rutgers, General Director of the Longfonds. “The coronavirus makes clear how important your lungs are to your life. We are fighting for people with lung disease and for everyone who has permanent lung damage from the coronavirus.”
Michel van Velde (CEO One Shoe): “Thanks to the good cooperation with the Longfonds team, we were able to realise the platform - built with Drupal 8 - in a short period of time. The result is a place where ex-corona patients feel at home. Our experience shows that these types of community platforms are of great importance in uncertain times or in case of illness. We are very proud to be part of this and to be able to contribute to the fight against corona.”
Creative & digital agency One Shoe currently supports Longfonds in their digital strategy. The launch of the platform is part of the digital strategy. In the coming period, we will continue to improve and develop the platform together with Longfonds so that it responds to the ever-changing situation regarding COVID-19.
