DHL Express is the specialist in national and international express shipments. DHL's international network connects more than 220 countries and regions in the world.
New online platform
To further optimize its service, DHL Express Nederland required a new online platform on which several services are combined. After a pitch, One Shoe was appointed to carry out this order for DHL Express.
DHL Express wanted to devise an advanced and user-friendly platform that would put the customer at the forefront. This means that the focus should be on the visitor and that the new DHLExpress.nl offers optimal service for the shipment of documents and parcels.
The results: together with DHL Express, we established a completely renewed responsive and multilingual online environment based on the Drupal 7 CMS. The new DHLExpress.nl features several options for an accelerated delivery of parcels and useful online tools for sending and tracing.
Rate calculator module
One Shoe implemented a module, based on the tool used by DHL UK, that enables the visitor, by calculating the appropriate rate, to choose the type of service most suited to his or her needs. The visitor enters the dimensions and the weight of the parcel and the tool automatically shows the rate and which shipping options are available.
Available options: shipment drop off at a service point (DHL Express Easy), booking a shipment online or by phone.
Knowledge base and Track & Trace
The new website also features an extensive knowledge base that is available to all visitors and a seamless integration of the Track & Trace functionality. Using the Track & Trace functionality, the sender and the recipient always know the location of the parcel and when it is scheduled to be delivered.
With this tooling, the visitor has all the information at one place and DHL Express gives the visitor the freedom to choose the service most suited to his or her needs.
